On Tuesday, the Regional Director for Employment, Vocational Training and Consumer Rights and Secretary-General of vocational training internships of the Assembly of European Regions, EURODYSSEY, Rui Bettencourt welcomed, at the Regional Directorate in Ponta Delgada, twenty of the thirty youngsters that will begin a one-month internship in the Azores.
This internship will take place between February and September. European interns will also have an opportunity to learn Portuguese and the History, Geography and Culture of the Azores.
Interns come from the Spanish regions of Catalonia and Valencia, from the French regions of Franche-Comté, Poitou-Charentes and Picardy and from the Belgian regions of Brussels and Valony.
The young EURODYSSEY interns have an opportunity to obtain relevant professional experience, learn about another culture, familiarise themselves with work methods and learn another language.
During this year, 50 Azorean youngsters will participate in the EURODYSSEY exchange programme. The Regional Directorate for Employment welcomes more applications.
