The tender for the construction of the Nursery and Kindergarten of "Santa Casa da Misericórdia" of Corvo was published yesterday in the Official Gazette.

The investment is included in the Regional Public Works Charter and is aimed at the rehabilitation of the building where these services are operating. It falls within the strategy developed by the Regional Government for the rehabilitation of the Region's social support infrastructures, namely through the creation of comfort and care conditions in the area of Childhood and Youth.

This contract has a completion period of ten months, representing a global investment of about 415,370.00 Euros on the part of the Azorean Government. It is financed by the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity.

The proposal for the rehabilitation of these social infrastructures has an estimated capacity for 30 children: 18 vacancies in day care and the remaining 12 vacancies in kindergarten.
