The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, has awarded three contract works following direct adjustment procedures with regional companies for the construction of four houses owned by the Region on the islands of São Miguel and Flores.

Included in the Regional Public Works Charter (CROP), these contract works concern the construction of two houses in the village of Água de Pau in the municipality of Lagoa, a house in the village of Feteiras in the municipality of Ponta Delgada and another house in the village of Santa Cruz in the municipality of Santa Cruz das Flores.
The contract works represent a public investment of near 402 thousand Euros.

The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity also proceeded with the invitation of regional companies to the contract work for the construction of a house in the municipality of Ponta Delgada. It is also included in the Regional Public Works Charters and represents a global investment over 92 thousand Euros. 

These initiatives fall within the Regional Government's goal to provide Azorean families with better housing conditions and contribute to the revitalisation of the regional construction sector in the Azores, through the investment in the redevelopment and preservation of the Region's housing stock.
