The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Culture, through the Department of Science Services, has opened the first phase of application for the PRO-SCIENTIA Programme.

The support measures reach an overall amount of 70 thousand Euros and are intended to support the organisation of scientific meetings in the Region as well as the participation in transregional and international RD&I (Research, Development and Innovation) projects, meetings and preparatory missions.

With these measures, the Regional Government intends to promote the dissemination of research results developed in the Region, foster contact between experts from different scientific institutions and regions, and provide the conditions for the establishment of new scientific partnerships, thus projecting the Azores in the context of international research.

Applications will be open until April 11. The opening notice and application forms will be available at idia-SG projects management platform. The access to this platform can be made through the Internet site of the Regional Government of the Azores for Science at: http://www.azores.gov.pt/gra/ciencia_azores.
