According to the notice published in PEP-Açores on the Internet, the provisional teaching position list for the external teaching application in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for the school year 2016/2017 is already available at http://concursopessoaldocente.azores.gov.pt. It is also available on the official pages of the Regional Directorate for Education/Education Portal and of the Regional Government of the Azores at www.edu.azores.gov.pt and www.azores.gov.pt, respectively.
 
Under the stipulated rules, applicants will have the following ten working days to be heard on the provisional teaching position list by filling in the appropriate electronic form, also available at http://concursopessoaldocente.azores.gov.pt.
 
In the same period, applicants may also submit the cancellation of the tender procedure.
 
The internal and external teaching application will fill 110 vacancies that correspond to the permanent needs of the regional public education system.
 
During 2016, the Government will open the third and final internal and external special teaching application for the integration of teachers in the staff of the regional education system, created by the Regional Legislative Decree no.8/2014/A of June 23. The latter provides the opening of over 101 vacancies for the integration of teachers who have been working continuously in public school establishments for the past three years.
 
With this last special application, the Autonomous Region of the Azores fulfils the commitment to open 300 vacancies for the regional school staff, meeting the needs of the education system that turned out to be permanent. Moreover, it will ensure the professional, personal and family stability of a significant number of teachers.
