Since the 1st of January, the minimum wage owed in the Azores to the workers that work for someone else, namely to those that aren’t included by specific collective employment, starts to be of 472,50 euros.
The value to practice in the Azores represents an addition of five percent on the national minimum wage (450 euros), which since then will be available in the rest of the Country.
While adding five percent to the value of the national minimum wage, the Government of the Azores intends to guarantee in the archipelago better adjusted wage compensations to the workers who are receiving for the minimum established values.
This decision of the Government is fitted in its policy of supported growth of the salaries of the workers who receive minor revenues.
