President of the Government inaugurates new school buildings in the opening of the school year
The president of the Government, Carlos César, marks on Tuesday the opening of the 2008/2009 school year with the inauguration, in Pico da Pedra, island of S. Miguel, of the new building of the António Augusto da Mota Frazão Preparatory School and Kindergarten.
The Azores regular teaching schools are going to receive a total of 41.719 pupils, around more 60 than in the academic year 2007/2008, working, for the first time since 1961, without need of resorting to the regime of ramification.
The building of the António Augusto da Mota Frazão EBJI suffered works of improvement and enlargement destined for improving the teaching and apprenticeship conditions.
