Carlos César praised the effort undertaken by the Holy Christ of Miracles Brotherhood and conveyed his belief that this year’s festivities will take place with the usual dignity and popular participation, demonstrating the religious beliefs of the Azorean people.

The President of the Government welcomed at an audience the Administrator of that brotherhood, who personally invited him and all members of the Government to participate in the procession next Sunday as well as in other events of the greatest religious festival of the Region. Carlos César also assured that the Government will provide the appropriate financial, material and logistical support.

With regard to the amount of financial support to be allocated to the organisation of the Holy Christ of Miracles Festivities, the President of the Government stressed that this amount is the result of a published contract-programme that reaches 28 thousand Euros. It is part of a series of support measures that the Government usually provides, but which are not publicised.
