The president of the Government of the Azores, Carlos César, was re-elected by unanimity to preside at the program of youthful mobility and training of the Assembly of the Regions of Europe (ARE), the Eurydice, in 2009 and 2010.
His choice, applauded by the president of the ARE, Michèle Sabban, was decided in the Eurydice Forum that is happening in Ponta Delgada since Thursday.
The Azores detain the Presidency and the General-secretariat of the European program of vocational mobility since January of 2007, maintaining the leadership and the seat of the Eurydice till December of 2010.
The Azorean presidency of the Eurydice will appoint one of the points of the agenda of the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Assembly of the Regions of Europe, on the 9th and 10th of October in Paris, being validated by the General Assembly of the ARE in Tempere, in Finland, on 13th and 14th of November.
Of the team of direction of the program to which the Azores preside there make part the Belgian region of Valonia, the French regions of French County, Rhone-Alpes and Poitou-Charente (led by Segolène Royal), the Rumanian region of Hunedoara and the Croatian region of Istria.
