The annual rate of change in June in the Azores registered the value of 0.8%, raising 0.1 percentage points compared to the month of May and the National rate of change reached -1.6%, according to data presented by the Azores Regional Statistics Service (SREA).
The average inflation rate over the last twelve months ending in June and the Consumer Price Index, “Total,” decreased to 2.5% in the Azores, whilst the National registered 0.9%.
According to the SREA, the largest average variations were registered in the sectors “Alcoholic Beverages and tobacco,” with 5.4%, and “Food and non-alcoholic drinks,” with 5.0%.
Moreover, the data presented reveal that the monthly rate for the June index, “Total,” registered -0.1%, more 0.2 percentage points than in May, and 0.1 in the entire county.
Regarding the highest value, the “Leisure recreation and culture” sector registered 0.6%, whilst the “Transport” sector registered the lowest value at -0.5%.
