The IRAE is responsible for supervising all premises in which any industrial, commercial, agricultural or fisheries activity takes place or in which services are provided, namely units which produce intermediate or finished products, warehouses, offices, commercial establishments, hotels or similar establishments, canteens and refectories, entertainment or performance venues, stations, air terminals or any form of land transport in which food is served or goods are sold to the public.

 

The owners, administrators, managers, directors, heads or their representatives of offices, associations, cooperatives, canteens and other places subject to inspection are obliged to show or present the following to the IRAE staff carrying out the inspection, once they have been duly identified:

 

- The entrance to the premises in question, bearing in mind that they should remain present throughout the inspection;

- The documents, accounts records, registers and any other items that are required. They should also provide any information or declarations that are requested of them.
