June registered record decrease in the number of unemployed people registered in the Azores
The number of unemployed people registered in the Employment public services of the Azores decreased, in June, 11,8 percent, against the homologous month of 2007, moving back for 3.182, according to data of the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP) published today.
The value represents the smaller number of unemployed people registered in the Azores in June from more than fifteen years ago.
At national level, the break in the total of registered unemployed people was of 1,6 percent, being that Madeira, with 8.467 unemployed people and the same labour dimension of the Azores, has almost the triple of the number of unemployed people registered in the Azorean archipelago.
The data of the IEFP indicate, on the other side, that the offers of employment increased, in June, 108 percent in the Azores against 2,8 at national level.
