Government challenges businesspeople to make use of strategic consultancy actions
The Government of the Azores challenged today the Azorean businesspeople to make use of the Business Strategic Consultancy programme, implemented by a Resolution of the Council of the Government, and to accept the funding provided by the PRO-EMPREGO programme and the skills of the newly certified Consultants.
The announcement was made by the Regional Director for Labour, Professional Qualification and Consumer Defence at the delivery ceremony of the professional skills certificates to the first 20 senior and junior consultants in the Azores.
Through the creation of a List of Consultants, this initiative aims to generalise the use of consultancy by micro, small and medium companies, including the training of businesspeople and staff, providing a global strategic vision to the company and identifying its training needs. Moreover, the measure also intends to assure the quality regarding the performance of tasks which, under the Business Strategic Consultancy Programme, involve a “great complexity,” requiring an extensive analysis of the company and its context,” said the Regional Director.
In this context, the consultants who were awarded their certificates will now be able to apply for the funding for strategic consultancy actions until July 15. Furthermore, they will have access, through an individual password, to an electronic platform, which will be available on the website of the Regional Directorate for Labour and Professional Qualification and which intents to support the Azorean businesspeople.
The Business Strategic Consultancy Programme aims to identify and analyse the possibilities, the weaknesses, the new opportunities and the challenges for each of the 6,300 Azorean companies.
