The regional director for Employment and Vocational Training, Rui Bettencourt, receives on Tuesday, in Ponta Delgada, 32 European young people who, up to October, are going to carry out traineeships in the Azores, in the ambit of the program Eurydice.
With ages between 18 and 30 years old, the new probationers of the Eurydice in the Region come from Murcia, Valencia, Catalonia (Spain), Picardie, Ile-de-France, Rhône, Alps, Poitou-Charentes (France), Akershus (Norway), Harghita (Romania), Valonia, Brussels (Belgium) and Varazdin (Croatia).
There are more than 20 years ago that the program of youthful exchange and formation of the Assembly of the Regions of Europe contributes, in an active way, to the construction of the European citizenship, promoting ties of cooperation between regions, people and entities.
Besides this, it makes possible to its participants to enjoy of professional experience in a real context of work and the apprenticeship of the language and culture of the region of traineeship.
Being the reciprocity one of the regulating principles of the program Eurydice, the Region, since January of the current year, already sent more than 30 Azorean probationers for those regions.
