Academic Qualifications
Degree in Social Work from the Lisbon Social Work Institute in 1999.
Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences with specialisation in Family, Ageing and Politics in 2007 and a Postgraduate degree in Training Management in 2010; both by the University of the Azores.
Professional experience
From January 1, 2000 to July 31, 2001, she held the position of Senior Technician in the area of Social Work assigned to the Minimum Income Allowance scheme at the Institute for Social Work - Ponta Delgada Department.
On October 18, 2001, she joined the staff of the Regional Directorate for Youth, Employment and Vocational Training - Ponta Delgada Agency for Qualification and Employment, where she was in charge of monitoring and assessing the integration of the unemployed into the labour market, namely those facing social issues.
She was also responsible for the implementation and coordination of the “FIOS - Train, Include and Socially Occupy" programme under the partnership between the Employment sector and the Ponta Delgada Centre for Social Income Allowance between 2007 and 2011.
She was a Member of the Administration Board of Lagoa Municipal Company from December 1, 2009 to November 17, 2010.
Since December 4, 2012, she has been the Head of Division for Employment Programmes at the Regional Directorate for Employment and Vocational Training.
