The Vice-President of the Government, through the Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA), promotes, as in previous years, a crafts exhibition. The event was included in the programme of Praia Festivities 2016.
 
"M.ART - Praia da Vitória" takes place from July 29 to August 7. This event intends to take advantage of an occasion when tourism flows to Terceira Island are higher with the aim of enhancing the visibility of 26 regional craft production units.
 
The exhibition features the works of 24 artisans from Terceira and one from S. Miguel. It covers several craft areas, including miniatures, tin works, jewellery, pottery, embroidery, textiles, homeware, textiles, clothing accessories, leather and wood, pyrography and patchwork.
 
The exhibition will be installed in the tent set up in the Marina of Praia da Vitória near the Atlantic Gastronomic Fair.
 
With the organisation of this event, CRAA aims to promote regional crafts and artisans as well as to support the dissemination and marketing of craft products.
 
"M.ART - Praia da Vitória" will be open on July 29 at 6 PM. It may be visited on July 29-31 and August 6-7 from 1 PM to 12 AM and on August 1-5 from 7 PM to 12 AM; admission is free.
