The government official stressed that Government intends to "provide a response to the difficulties arising from this process in order to overcome them. Our goal is to ensure a positive outcome for everyone, not only in the improvement of mobility for all Azoreans but also in the increase of tourism flows in the Region, especially in this part of the archipelago."

During the meeting, the Regional Secretary stated that the Region is developing, together with tour operators, "specific promotional campaigns within the existing tour packages, from the perspective of being more aggressive and attract more tourism to the 'Triangle Islands' (Pico, Faial and São Jorge)."

It will reflect this new reality and, simultaneously, enhance the differentiating aspects of each one of our islands, which is bring added value to the Azores as a tourist destination," said Vítor Fraga.
