COVID-19 information line with reinforced psychosocial support

The Regional Government has reinforced the intervention of the COVID-19 Non-Medical Information Line - 800 29 29 29 with a team of psychologists for the provision of psychosocial support.

Created on March 15 to provide non-clinical information to the population, the Azores Line is composed of a multidisciplinary team, including Social Security technicians, psychologists, social workers, social counsellors and sociologists, among others.

The intervention of the six psychologists that make up this team intends to support, at a psychosocial level, people in situation of quarantine or social isolation.

In turn, Social Security technicians have been supporting the resolution of problems and informing the population about their rights and duties.

This Line, created to inform the population about the measures adopted in the Region to face the COVID-19 pandemic, has received an average of 500 daily calls, the majority of which concern matters related to employment, social security, and social and economic support.

The Azores Non-Medical COVID-19 Information Line - 800 29 29 29 operates every day of the week from 8 am to 8 pm.

With the aim of better clarifying the population, the Government has also extended the information contents provided by the RIAC Line - 800 500 501, besides making available the http://covid19.azores.gov.pt website and the email address [email protected].
