The Pico Museum, in partnership with Comunicar Atitude producer, presents another two films included in the documentary series "Whalers of the World," an international film show about whaling since the early 20th century. The event takes place at the Whaling Museum in Lajes do Pico on October 5 and 6 at 9 PM; admission is free.
 
The initiative also revisits memories with the aim of enhancing the historical photography collection of Lajes do Pico. The local population is invited to share old photographs related to whaling, which will be scanned with the owner's permission.
 
These photographs will be collected until the end of the year at the facilities of Comunicar Atitude and Pico Museum.
 
Mostly in black and white, the images depict whale hunting and dismantling scenes that some viewers may find disturbing.
