João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archive welcomes conference by Maria Norberta Amorim

The Regional Directorate for Culture, through João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archive in Horta, promotes a conference to be delivered by Maria Norberta Amorim, retired full professor of Department of History the University of Minho.
 
The conference, entitled "Different rhythms of life on the four islands of the former district of Horta. An exciting ongoing project" will be held at the Auditorium of the Library on Friday, March 3, at 9 PM; admission is free.
 
A native of Lajes do Pico, Maria Norberta Amorim founded and led the Population and Society Studies at the University of Minho. Throughout her academic career, she contributed significantly to the development of the methodological component in the course of Historical Demography in which she specialised.
