The Regional Directorate for Culture, through João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archive (BPARJJG) in Horta, promotes the opening of the "Oil Paintings" exhibition by Victor Ryath next Friday, July 19 at 6 PM.
 
This exhibition may be visited from Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM at the BPARJJG exhibition room until October 4.
 
Victor Ryath, a native of the Netherlands, has been living on the island of Faial since 2017. He was the co-founder of the art magazine "Artension" in 1982 and co-founder of Fusion international artist group in 1985. Between 1981 and 2019, Victor Ryath participated in more than 50 collective and individual exhibitions in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, England, Switzerland, Italy and Portugal. He has 200 paintings featured in private collections. Throughout his artistic career artist, he has shown interest in the representation of reality and illusion.
