The Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, through the Regional Directorate for Culture, will host the launch of the first volume of "Obras Completas de Vitorino Nemésio" (Complete Works of Vitorino Nemésio" at Capitães-Generais Palace in Angra do Heroísmo on Friday, December 14.
 
This session, scheduled for 6 PM, will be attended by professor Luiz Fagundes Duarte, expert on Nemésio's works and scientific coordinator of the project. He will also be responsible for the presentation of the complete works and the first volume entitled "Poetry (1916-1940)."
 
An editorial initiative of Companhia das Ilhas publisher promoted in partnership with Imprensa Nacional publisher, this event will also feature speeches to be delivered by Duarte Azinheira, publishing director of Imprensa Nacional, and Carlos Machado, publisher of Companhia das Ilhas.
 
This collection is comprised by 40 books to be published over the next four years, being divided into 16 volumes and organised by four series: poetry, drama and fiction, articles and journals, essay and criticism. It will allow the public in general to become better acquainted with the writing of Vitorino Nemésio.
 
At this session, the first volume will be on sale for the special price of 15 Euros.
