Study on the qualification of young Azoreans to bring benefits to the business sector, stressed Isabel Rodrigues

The Regional Assistant Secretary of the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs said that the Government of the Azores considered that the proposal for the conduction of an Analytical Study on the Qualification of Young Azoreans is “very interesting” since it can become another useful tool for public decision-making  and for the business sector.

“This proposed study will allow us to further define the profile of Azorean youngsters with advanced levels of qualification as well as their areas of interest and their job areas,” said Isabel Rodrigues, who spoke at the Legislative Assembly in Horta.

By introducing the component of research and vocational training, the draft resolution proposed by the Socialist members of the Regional Assembly provides extremely relevant information not only from the standpoint of the Regional Government, especially in the development of public policies, but also from the standpoint of the regional business sector.”

The initiative promoted by the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party was approved by unanimity. It proposes the conduction of an in-depth study on the qualification of Azorean youngsters and their integration in the labour market, through the Youth Observatory.
