Regional Government extends deadline for submission of applications to "Get into Scene" youth creativity programme

The Regional Government has decided to extend the application deadline for the "Get into Scene" youth creativity programme until July 10, an initiative promoted by the Regional Directorate for Youth, announced the Regional Assistant Secretary of the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs.

The "Get into Scene" programme aims to support projects developed by young people, informal groups of young people or by non-profit entities working in the Youth area, granting financial support of up to 5,000 Euros.

According to Berto Messias, this initiative is aimed at young people, informal groups of young people and non-profit entities based on the concept “from young people to young people.”

Berto Messias pointed out that the number of applications submitted this year demonstrates, “in fact, a growth.”

“We supported 52 projects in 2019 and, this year, we already approved 32 projects in the first application phase, corresponding to an overall support of nearly 50 thousand Euros. This initiative involves several hundred young Azoreans throughout the Region,” revealed the Regional Secretary.

Even so, “the Government intends to extend the application deadline so that this initiative can reach more young people and support more projects, taking into account that the situation in the last three months conditioned the planning of projects and activities."

"Hence, I call all young people to take part in "Get into Scene" and promote new projects in their communities and, thus, contribute to the recovery phase that we intend to implement," said Berto Messias.

Applications for the second phase of the "Get into Scene" programme can be submitted via an electronic form available at https://poeteemcena.azores.gov.pt.
