"Youngsters with Future" is the new website of the Regional Directorate for Youth

The site "Youngsters with Future," which can be found at following address: http://jovenscomfuturo.azores.gov.pt/, is a project developed by the Regional Directorate for Youth. This initiative follows a strategy intended to develop means for a better management of information and provide youngsters with useful information for their daily lives.

"SIJA" - Azores Youth Information System is intended to develop networks, advisory services and infrastructure to enhance communication and the access of youngsters to diverse, comprehensive and updated information.

In this context, "SIJA" includes three actions: Youth Centres, Information and Communication Networks for Youngsters and the Youth Mediation and Consulting.

Facilitating the access of youngsters to information for the full exercise citizenship is another goal of the website "Youngsters with Future." The website is comprised by several programmes addressed at this age group and is organised based on the major areas for the promotion of youth emancipation: Education/Training, Work/Employment, Entrepreneurship/Creativity and Housing.
 
This appealing platform, which is organised into several areas, provides youngsters with more tools to find information.

Promoting communication between Azorean youth and the Regional Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, is also the purpose of this website, as it allows the issuing of opinions and comments about the platform.

"Youngsters with Future" provides information on all regional, national and international public and private departments providing support to Azorean youngsters.

The "Estagiar" programme, developed by the Government of the Azores to promote the entry of young graduates in the labour world," and "Inov-Art", which promotes international traineeships, are some of the programmes in the area "Employment/Work."

In the area of "Housing," the website suggests the housing support programmes "Porta 65" and "Families with Future" in order to provide youngsters with a better quality of life.

"International Guide of the University of the Azores" is a good example of useful information displayed in the area Education/ Training. With this guide, foreign students will have the opportunity to become better acquainted with that university and will become better integrated in the academic and cultural life of that institution.

Finally, in the field of arts and entrepreneurship, the new website "Youngsters with Future" includes the category "Entrepreneurship /Creativity" which, in turn, comprises programmes such as "Labjovem" - designed with the purpose of encouraging and promoting Azorean young creators, and Entrepreneurial Education : The Path to Success "- a project intended to promoted entrepreneurship at Azorean schools.

Programmes like "Otl J" (Youth Free Time Occupation Centre), "Interjovem Card", "Bento de Góis" and "Youth Forum" may be found in the category "other youth programmes."
