Training Itinerary on Erasmus + Programme covers the nine islands of the Azores

The Regional Directorate for Youth is organising n partnership with the national agency for the management of Erasmus + - Youth in Action programme a training itinerary during the year 2015 on all Azorean islands.

This itinerary is intended to disseminate the Erasmus + - Youth in Action Programme as a useful work tool for youngsters, association leaders and youth workers. The programme will be presented as an opportunity for the development of associations and their participants as well as to create the conditions that will ensure the implementation of good projects in the context of several activities.

With this initiative, the Government intends to further promote the exchange and mobility within Europe; encourage participation and debate on issues of youth interest; foster a multiplier effect with counterpart organisations and other potential partners; promote the exchange of experience and expertise among professionals in the area of youth and increase the number of users of sub-actions.

The first phase of this itinerary starts on Graciosa Island on April 13 with a training session to be held at Santa Cruz Basic Education and Secondary School from 2 PM to 7 PM.
Under this initiative, three sessions will be held on the island of Terceira. The first session is organised in partnership with the Europe Direct Information Centre - Azores and is scheduled for April 15 between 9:30 AM to 5 PM at Azores Environment Observatory. 

The second training session will be held after working hours at the auditorium of the Village Council of Sé on April 15 and 16. It is targeted at youngsters from the Portuguese Scout Association. In turn, the third session is addressed to the National Scouts Corp and will take place in Praia da Vitória at the Belo Jardim Training Centre on April 17 and 18.

The sessions to be organised on the remaining islands will be held in May, June, September and October.

Simultaneously, the Regional Directorate for Youth will disseminate the following programmes: Bento de Góis Youth Mobility, Youth Volunteering, Holiday Camp,  Get into Scene and Youth in Focus: from Dream to Action.
