The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, promotes the organisation of a training course on Event Production on the islands of São Miguel and Terceira.

The initiative, which results from the partnership with Praia da Vitória City Hall, through Terceira Youth and Art Academy, and Angra do Heroísmo City Hall. It will take place at Terceira Youth and Arts Academy in Praia da Vitória on October 10-11 and at Teatro Micaelense in Ponta Delgada on October 17-18.

The event aims to provide participants with the knowledge and basic skills in event and show production. Moreover, it is also intended to promote the autonomy of participants in this area so that they may be able to organise small-scale events and take part in the organisation of major events.

Developed by Restart - Institute of Creativity, Art and New Technologies, has a length of 16 hours and is aimed at all young professionals and students with an interest in events and shows.

The course will be taught by Alexandre Cortez Pinto. He is a programmer at Musicbox Club, member of the artistic team and cultural programming team at the company Playground. He is also in charge for the production and creation of cultural products and he is a founding member and bassist of the band Rádio Macau.
