Interjovem 2017 card with new features and benefits

The Regional Director for Youth announced today that the Interjovem 2017 Card will provide "free admission" to all interpretation centres and the entire network of regional museums and libraries. They will also have the possibility to "book flight tickets in advance" with Grupo SATA.

"As for the acquisition of flight tickets to Europe, there is a 20% discount on Azores Airlines," Lúcio Rodrigues announced, adding that "it is now possible to book 12 hours in advance in the months of April, May and October; the deadline is extended to 24 hours between November and March."

Lúcio Rodrigues spoke on board the vessel "Gilberto Mariano," off Horta, at the presentation of the Interjovem 2017 Card. The government official stressed that the Azorean Government, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, aims "to promote mobility and exchange of experiences among Azorean young people."

In this context, this year's campaign has as motto "Always Together," representing the "union of youth across the nine islands and our feeling as an archipelago region," stressed the Regional Director.

The Interjovem Card is targeted at young people between the ages of 13 and 30, maintaining the same price as in previous years, i.e., 35 Euros for young people aged between 13 and 23 and 48 Euros for young people aged between 24 and 30.

The card gives access to advantages and discounts in a network of more than 200 commercial partners throughout the archipelago, comprising several areas: hotels, restaurants, culture, leisure, wellness and sports. According to Lúcio Rodrigues, these are "areas of relevant interest for young Azoreans."

The Regional Youth Director also highlighted that the new promotional spot of Interjovem Card was filmed on five islands - Flores, Corvo, Faial, S. Miguel and Santa Maria - with the official theme by singer Rubeshe Santos.

The Interjovem Card may be purchased from Tuesday, May 9, at the Network of Azores Youth Hostels, JH Ornelas, SATA sales desk, Atlanticoline and travel agencies, among other partners.

Further information on Interjovem Card is available at www.cartaointerjovem.com.
