Information itinerary on OTL-J programme covers more than regional 400 entities

The Information Itinerary on the Youth Free Time Occupation Programme (OTL-J) involved more than four hundred entities across the archipelago.

Promoted by the Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, the itinerary took place in January and March, through various information sessions aimed at entities from 19 Azorean municipalities.

The main purpose of these sessions was to present the 2016/2017 edition of the OTL-J programme and answer questions about the creation and management of projects, particularly with regard to the filling in of application forms by promoters.

The Free Time Occupation Programme for Youth aims to encourage the inclusion of young people in active life and offer the opportunity for participants to know professional activities, being a first contact with the labour market.

OTL-J also intends to provide young people with an innovative way to occupy their free time, contributing to their non-formal education, the acquisition of knowledge, norms and values of a responsible citizenship. This initiative also contributes to the construction of social and professional experiences that are decisive to the education of qualified and responsible citizens.

Applications for the OTL-J Summer 2016 are open from tomorrow and run until the 15th of April, and may be submitted through the online platform www.otl.drj.azores.gov.pt
