The Regional Directorate for Youth, in partnership with the National Agency for the Management of Erasmus+/Youth in Action Programme, will organise a training course on the Erasmus+ Programme on September 12.

The initiative will be held at the Ponta Delgada Youth Hostel. It aims to the disseminate the Erasmus+ Programme as a useful working tool for youngsters, association leaders and youth leader as well as an opportunity to foster the development of associations and their members.

This training course is also intended to foster exchange and mobility in the European space, stimulate the participation and debate on youth-related themes as well as to boost the multiplier effect among counterpart organisations and other potential partners in order to increase the number of Azoreans participating in this programme.

In the context of Erasmus+, the Government will promote an information session at the same Youth Hostel, which is addressed at all those who wish to know more about this programme.

Registration for the training course, which runs until September 7, and for the information session should be made at the following electronic address: www.juventude.azores.gov.pt.

Erasmus+ is an EU programme adopted in the areas of education, training, youth and sport for the 2014-2020 period.

This programme aims to address several challenges, such as the fight against the growing levels of unemployment. It takes into consideration that the existence of strong and effective education, training and youth systems can help overcoming this challenge by providing citizens with the skills required by the labour market and a competitive economy.
