The President of the Government congratulated today gymnast Sara Silva, athlete from Ponta Delgada Gymnastics Club, for winning the Silver Medal at the Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup that took place this weekend in Cantanhede.
 
"With this excellent performance, Sara Silva proved once again that she can rival the best world athletes in this demanding sport by achieving, on her own merit, a competitive level that honours Azorean sport," stated Vasco Cordeiro.
 
In his message of congratulations, the President of the Government also conveyed the belief that this "magnificent world-class result" will be an added motivation for new sports achievements that will honour the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
