Regional Inspectorate of Environment promotes training on residues in the Azores
The Regional Inspectorate of Environment (IRA) is carrying out a training course on residues in the Azores, subordinated to the subject “The importance of supervision / inspection”, which is happening, till the 11th, in the installations of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and the Sea, in Ponta Delgada. The initiative has as aim endowing the pupils with more and better knowledges in the residues area, namely, in the applicable legislation area. In the beginning of the works, the regional secretary for the Environment and the Sea had opportunity for detaching the importance of the cooperation and collaboration between all the supervisory entities in the way of promoting the environmental quality in the Azores. On his turn, the regional inspector of Environment mentioned that the initiative is going to allow endowing the inspection services with more qualifications, preparing them so for a next phase, where several inspections will begin to several sectors of activity with environmental incidence. Elements of the GNR Service of Protection of Nature and Environment, elements of the PSP Environmental Brigades, Vigilant of Nature of the Services of Environment of Island of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and the Sea, as well as, the new IRA inspectors, participate in this training.
