President of the Government satisfied with organisation of WorldConexx Congress in the Azores
The President of the Regional Government conveyed his satisfaction that the Azores were chosen for the 2014 edition of WorldConexx, a global event promoted by the company Globestar Systems that will feature former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown as the main guest speaker.
"This is a way of disseminating our Region, not only for natural beauties, but also for its potentialities in terms of entrepreneurship and work capacity," said Vasco Cordeiro to journalists.
The President of the Regional Government spoke in Ponta Delgada, after receiving in audience David Tavares, founder and CEO of Globestar Systems.
On the occasion, Vasco Cordeiro pointed out that this company is also installed in the Region, employing Azorean workers, along with its worldwide presence, starting in Canada.
"It is a matter of satisfaction that this year's edition will take place in the Azores in early April, being attended by former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown; this, of course, raises expectation regarding the quality of this meeting which will gather costumers from all over the world," said the President of the Government.
In 2007, Globestar Systems held its world congress WorldConexx on the island of São Miguel, bringing together about three hundred participants.
