Angra do Heroísmo Museum promotes workshop to make musical instruments for children
The Angra do Heroísmo Museum promotes a workshop to make musical instruments and sound objects for children aged between 5 and 12 will be held from May 10 and 15.
During this initiative, musical instruments will be made from recycled materials with the purpose of stimulating a love for music and developing the basics of rhythm and acoustics.
This workshop will be held in two sessions that will comprise two groups of 12 children. Each session will be divided into three modules: the instruments will be made in the first part, to take place from Monday to Tuesday (May 10 and 11) at 4:30 PM; the musical features of the instruments will be explored in the second part to be held on Wednesday and Friday (May 12 and 14) at the same time; during the third part the two groups will have the opportunity to rehearse together a small musical piece on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM.

This initiative will be promoted by teacher Claudiana Ferreira Cruz and is integrated in the programme promoted by the Angra Museum to celebrate the Museums’ Night take (May 15) and the International Museum Day (May 18).
