The Terceira Tourism Delegation opened to the public an exhibition containing the works by the photographer Paulo Garrão Terceira, who was born on that island. All profits from the sales of the works will be allocated for AMI.
Since its foundation in December 1984, the AMI – International Medical Assistance - is where nobody wants to be. Intolerance and the world’s most serious diseases, according to AMI, are the reason for the fact that three quarters of the world population live in deplorable conditions.
There are two areas in which the performance of the AMI underlies, mainly the National and International, whose domains are four: Medical Assistance, Social Action, Environment, through the development of various recycling campaigns, and Awareness Raising, which aims to raise the public’s awareness to fundamental issues for humanity.
The sale of the works that displayed in this exhibition is therefore a way helping AMI to help those in need.
The photographs by Paul Garrão, whose work is also available at http://paulogarrao.com.sapo.pt, may be visited from September 1 to September 30, at the Terceira Tourism Delegation, in rua Direita, 74 - Angra do heroism. Timetable: from 9 AM to 6 PM during the week and from 9 AM to 12 PM on Saturdays.
