Applications for Professional Integration Programmes of "Estagiar L," "Estagiar T" and "Integra" Programme open

The Regional Directorate for Employment and Vocational Training has opened, starting on Friday, the applications for the Professional Integration Programmes of "Estagiar L," "Estagiar T" traineeships (PIIE) and "Integra" Programme.

PIIE is targeted at companies, cooperatives or non-profit entities where youngsters have undertaken their traineeships.

These programmes provide financial support to the employers that hire youngsters who completed "Estagiar L" or "Estagiar T" by January 1, 2013. Entities are required to sign a contract of unspecified duration or with the minimum duration of one year in the case of a fixed-term contract.

The amount awarded to companies is stipulated at 500 Euros per month for "Estagiar L." In the case of "Estagiar T," the amount is set at 350 Euros per month for the first semester and 250 Euros during the second semester.
The support awarded might be increased by 50% if the entity hires the trainee during the traineeship period.

In turn, the INTEGRA programme supports the hiring of unemployed by companies or entities with stable staff since early 2012.

The support consists of a monthly allocation of 450 Euros for a one-year period per every job created by the companies that hire citizens who are unemployed for over 6 months. Companies that hire unemployed who have been registered at Employment Centres for less than six months will receive 350 Euros.

The support will increased by 20% if companies hire unemployed over 50 years.

The companies eligible for this support measure are required not to have reduced their staff since 2012 and the worker to be hired should be registered at the Agency for Qualification and Employment on November 30, 2012.

Applications for these programmes, both integrated in the Azorean Agenda for Employment Creation and Competitiveness implemented by the Regional Government in compliance with the established schedule, can be made on the following websites http://www.estagiar.azores.gov.com and http://portaldoemprego.azores.gov.pt.
