The itinerary "Make the Azores Happen" starts Wednesday, January 27 on São Miguel and will travel the schools that will participate in this year's edition of the programme "Entrepreneurial Education: The Path to Success." It will cover 1,550 students in eight sessions that will be held on the islands of São Miguel and Graciosa in the second phase.

Included in the second follow-up visit of the fifth edition of the programme "Entrepreneurial Education: The Path to Success," this initiative intends, through the testimony of young entrepreneur André Leonardo, to provide a motivational moments for students attending secondary schools and vocational training schools.

In his motivational lectures, André Leonardo will explain why and how he decided to travel around the world and write a book on how to make projects happen.

On the island of São Miguel, the sessions will take place at Laranjeiras and Domingos Rebelo Secondary Schools on January 27, Vila Franca do Campo Basic Education and Domingos Rebelo Secondary School on January 28, and Nordeste and Ribeira Grande Secondary Schools on January 29.

On February 1, there will be a session at Graciosa Basic Education and Secondary School, closing this itinerary on February 2 at Povoação Municipal Auditorium on São Miguel Island.

The first phase of "Make the Azores Happen," which took place the first follow-up visit of the programme, covered the islands of Terceira, São Jorge, Pico and Faial on October 2015, covering nearly 1025 students.

"Entrepreneurial Education: The Path to Success" is an initiative developed by the Azorean Government, through the Regional Directorates for Youth and Education, in collaboration with the Society for the Business Development of the Azores (SDEA).

This fifth edition involves the participation of 108 teachers and will be held in 48 schools of all islands except Corvo, covering about 2,700 students.

The programme aims to raise the awareness of Azorean teachers and students for the entrepreneurial potential and the possibility of controlling their future, which will allow them to create their own jobs. This will actively contribute to the revitalisation of employment policies and to the generation of wealth in the Region.
