The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Forestry concluded on Thursday an 18-hour introductory course on oenology, which had started on September 15.
Participants attended theoretical and practical courses at experimental vineyards and at the experimental winery which is attached to the agrarian extension and popularisation works located in Biscoitos. The group was made up of 14 trainees, whose spirit of mutual cooperation was always present during all stages of this training course.
The majority of participants own vineyards in the wine-growing area of Biscoitos, Feteira and São Bartolomeu.
The course was conducted by technicians of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry. This initiative was very important insofar as it allowed the exchange of experiences which contributed to the enhancement of agricultural knowledge as well as to the promotion of regional wine.
