The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry has awarded to the company Fameg – Montagens Eléctricas Gerais, S.A. the contract work regarding the installation of a 30 KV MV-branch on the Pereiro road, located in the agrarian perimeter of the Ponta Delgada Dairy Basin on São Miguel Island.
The contract work will cost around 222 thousand Euros and will include a 5-km extension of the electrical grid, benefitting 20 farms that produce more than 10 million litres of milk and comprise an area exceeding 1,000 hectares.
The implementation of this work will increase farmers’ income and improve their working conditions, thus simultaneously allowing a production with a better quality.
