Azores Environmental Centres with free admission for young people

The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for the Environment, promotes the free admission of holders of Interjovem, Youth and Student cards.

The discount on admission tickets to these centres increases from 20% to 100% for the holders of the aforementioned cards, who will now have free admission to the entire network of Environmental Centres of the Azores Natural Parks.

This initiative aims to bring young people closer to these environmental centres, where bio and local geodiversity are promoted as well as the Region's culture and natural heritage.

The centres and shops of the Azores Natural Parks are open to the public every day between 10 AM and 6 PM uninterruptedly, except for the following: Porto de Pim Aquarium - Live Fish Station on Faial, open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM; “Casa da Montanha” (Mountain House), open every day for 24 hours; Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo Interpretation Centre on São Jorge, open from Wednesday to Sunday and during the holidays, from 10 AM to 12 PM and 1 to 4 PM; the Shop of Sete Cidades Crater Lake Park, open every day from 9 AM to 4 PM.

These timetables will be in force from June 1 to September 30.

All centres, with the exception of shops and "Casa da Montanha" (Mountain House), provide the possibility of guided tours; prior appointment is recommended.
