Regional Government promotes training session on museums and audiences with special needs

The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, promotes a training session on "Museum and Audiences with Special Needs" in Ponta Delgada between May 28 and 30.
 
This training session will take place at the Santo André Centre of the Carlos Machado Museum. It is directed to technicians and cultural mediators working at the Educational Services of Museums and Libraries, whether or not under the administration of the Regional Directorate for Culture.
 
The training session, led by Miguel Horta, will have a duration of 15 hours (from 10 AM to 1 Pm and from 2 to 4 PM) and is limited to a maximum of 25 participants.

Miguel Horta is an author and illustrator of children's books with works recommended by the National Reading Plan. He conducts training courses in the areas of reading mediation and artistic education, with special emphasis on mediating with audiences with special educational needs and ethnic minorities.
