Regional Directorate for Youth joins European Youth Week 2015

The Regional Directorate for Youth in partnership with the National Agency for the Management of "Erasmus + Youth in Action" Programme will organise the European Youth Week on the islands of Pico, Faial and São Miguel from today to May 9.

Today, a dissemination action on the new Community programme "Erasmus + Youth in Action" took place at Lajes do Pico Basic Education and Secondary School. It will be followed by other action to be held at Banco de Artistas on Faial (May 5), Ponta Delgada (May 6), Ribeira Grande Vocational Training School (May 7) and at Lagoa Secondary School (May 8).
 
With free-admission sessions, these dissemination actions on the "Erasmus + Youth in Action" programme are open to youngsters as well as to the entities that can benefit from this programme. 

The European Youth Week is a European project that will be marked in Portugal with over a hundred events taking place throughout the country.

Under this initiative, which is simultaneously held in 33 European countries, it is expected a historic mobilisation in Portugal to celebrate Youth, Europe and the Future that will be unique of its kind in Europe.

The "Erasmus + Youth in Action" programme was created for the period 2014-2020 with the aim of reinforcing the skills and employability of youngsters, through transnational partnerships between educational, training and youth institutions to promote cooperation and bring closer the worlds of education and labour.
