The Vice-President of the Government announced that the Regional Government, in the context of the preparation of the strategic modernisation plan and the public administration reform, has decided to promote "an innovative space for reflection and discussion on the new service model to be implemented."
"The Regional Government intends an increasingly open, efficient, inclusive and agile administration with fewer costs for citizens and companies, through the implementation of the most modern methods and tools for designing public services," said Sérgio Ávila.
The initiative, which began today, involves public entities, companies and citizens, namely in the development and implementation of pilot projects.
"It will debate the public administration, involving all interested parties," stressed the Vice-President.
For Sérgio Ávila, public services must be "built on the actual needs of citizens and companies, without neglecting the increase in the qualification, efficiency and effectiveness of public administration workers."
Under this initiative, which will also involve Azorean citizens and companies in later phases, four innovation workshops will be held until Friday, October 19, in Angra do Heroísmo, where various services will debate measures for the modernisation and management of regional public administration.
