The Government of the Azores promotes, from February 5, the action of "Roadshow Taste Azores 2018" with the Region's participation in a promotional event included in "The Flavours of Portugal," an initiative that will be held at the Algés Market, municipality of Oeiras, until February.
 
This project is developed by the Vice-Presidency, through the Society for Business Development of the Azores - SDEA. It is a further contribution to promote the visibility of regional products among consumers, especially those bearing the Azores Brand certification, as well as to increase their commercialisation outside the Region.
 
In this context, there are planned promotional actions at gourmet shops, restaurants and other places that receive a significant number of visitors.
 
The investment in the presentation of added-value products and their use in cooking is the proposal of the "Roadshow Taste Azores" that now begins and will end in the last quarter of this year, with the second edition of "Taste Azores."
 
This is an event of significant impact and projection that allows regional producers and entrepreneurs to present and create more business opportunities with national retailers and distributors, in addition to direct sales to consumers. 
 
Besides the showcase and sale of regional products and the showcooking sessions with chef Alfredo Alves and food connoisseur António Cavaco, there will be moments of entertainment with comedian Luís Filipe Borges and musician João da Ilha at Algés Market. The event also features a photography exhibition by Azorean authors.
