The Regional Government launched today a campaign to support economic recovery, designated as "Certainly Azorean," which calls for the active participation of all Azoreans in strengthening the Region's economy. 

The progressive lifting of restrictive measures allows the gradual reopening of trade and services in the Azores. Accordingly, the Regional Government, in this return to the so-called new normal, calls all Azoreans to increase the consumption of regional products and services, thus supporting employment and the regional economy. 

Choosing the local commerce, consuming regional products, enjoying the flavours of the archipelago's gastronomy, discovering or revisiting the natural landscapes of each island are some of the proposals of this campaign. 

"Certainly Azorean" aims to support genuinely Azorean products and services as a campaign based on the identity heritage of the Azores by promoting spaces and activities with their specific characteristics.

Supporting those who closed their establishments and suspended their activities in order to protect us during the confinement period is the basis of the campaign's slogan, which will be available on different platforms and on various media outlets. 

This Regional Government's initiative intends to revitalise the internal market with the contribution of everyone. It is stems from the premise that it is now the time for everyone to be even more Azorean and support the regional economy by promoting the maintenance of employment, the stability of household income and economic recovery. 

The "Certainly Azorean" campaign is another one of the many measures implemented by the Regional Government with the aim of minimising the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
