The Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government, through the Regional Directorate for Organisation and Public Administration, will extend the dissemination of electoral results to mobile platforms and introduce geographic information.

It will be possible to follow, after the end of voting, the provisional ballot of the elections for the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores on October 14 through mobile devices, either phones or tablets.

The applications developed by the Regional Directorate for Organisation and Public Administration will be available on iOS ("Azores Legislative Elections") and Android ("Azores Legislative Elections") platforms. Users will have the possibility of following the results of the elections in the archipelago, municipalities and villages, which will displayed in the form of maps, tables or charts.

The applications also allow the consultation of information on the lists of candidates and the polling station of each voter as well as the results of previous elections.

Furthermore, the information will be also available at http://polar.vpgr.azores.gov.pt/projectos/eleicoes on the page of POLAR project - Regional Administration Location Portal, and on the internet site of the Vice-Presidency of the Government at http://www.vpgr.azores.gov.pt.

POLAR is a project designed to present organised geographic and georeferenced information, allowing users to search, filter a located the available geographic contents in a simple and intuitive way.

Initially intended for internal use, the POLAR project comprises geographic contents on RIAC offices, Regional and Local Administration Maps, Azores Operational Programme for Convergence (PROCONVERGENCIA), heritage (building heritage) in the Region's private domain and, from now on, the results of elections and related information.
