Azorean Government anticipates opening of applications for courses under REATIVAR Technological programme
The Vice-President of the Government announced today that the applications for the co-financing of courses under the REATIVAR Technological programme will open on Monday, January 21.
Sérgio Ávila spoke at the Legislative Assembly of the Azores on the sidelines of the debate raised by an interpellation made by the Social Party to the Government on the Azorean Agenda for Employment Creation and Business Competitiveness. The government official stressed that this initiative "embodies one of the many measures provided in the aforementioned Agenda."
"The opening of applications already anticipates the implementation of this measure for the first quarter of 2013, which gives more time to regional vocational schools so that may have the possibility of redefining their training offers," stated Sérgio Ávila.
According to the Vice-President, these courses will "provide technical skills to the unemployed enrolled at the agencies for Qualification, Employment and Labour of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, who are required to hold a Basic Education (9th form) or a Secondary School (12th form) diploma.
The approval of courses will take into account the number of unemployed registered at the agencies in each municipality, added Sérgio Ávila.
