Paulo Sérgio Corvelo Soares was born in Angra do Heroísmo.
He graduated in Management and Public Administration from the Social and Political Sciences Faculty of the Technical University of Lisbon.
Between March 2001 and November 2004 he provided technical support in the management and monitoring of the Community programmes at the Angra do Heroísmo City Hall.
From November 2004 to November 2005 served at the Financial Division of the Angra do Heroísmo City Hall.
Between December 2005 and September 2006 he held the position of Regional Director for Organisation and Public Administration.
In December 2006 he was appointed Representative of the Vice-Presidency of the Government in the Public Service Axis – Strategy for Quality in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
Since April 2006 he has been a Member of the Assessment Commission for youth support applications.
In September 2006 he was appointed Project Manager of the Integrated Network for Citizen Support, a position that he held until February 2008.
Since March 2008 he is the President of the Agency for the Modernisation and Quality of Citizen Service, I.P.
