The Municipal Land Management Plans of the Azores are now published in the Internet thus making them more accessible to all citizens.

This measure, undertaken by the Regional Directorate for Public Administration and Organisation, provides public access to all available documents, in PDF format. The documents can be accessed at the website of the Regional Government of the Azores at the following address: http://www.azores.gov.pt/portal/pt/entidades/vp-droap/.

The aim of this measure is to facilitate general web access to all of the information that pertains to the Municipal Policy Plans.

Henceforth it will be possible to consult, in a more comprehensive manner, all of the documents pertaining to land-management through a graphic visualisation that offers a detailed overview of the land-planning parameters. Any citizen will now be able to amplify, reduce and print all of the relevant documents and graphics.

The Vice-President of the Regional Government of the Azores, Sérgio Ávila, said that this measure “is going to facilitate citizen participation and intervention in the formulation, evaluation and implementation of land-management plans of the Azores.”  He added that this “measure is part of the continuing governmental effort to modernise the public administration, make it more transparent and easily accessible to all citizens.”
