The Government of Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Public Organisation and Administration, will be at the 4th European CAF Users Event, which will take place on September 23 and 24, in Bucharest, Romania.
This results from the invitation of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) and of the Directorate General for Administration and Public Employment, considering the groundbreaking and innovative character of the strategy for implementing the self-assessment tool Common Assessment Framework (CAF) in the Azorean, national and European administration services.
The Azorean case was presented for the first time at the 3rd European CAF Users Event, which took place in October 2007, under the aegis of the European Union Portuguese Presidency. Since then, the Government of the Azores has been invited to share its experience at the CAF tool implementing meetings: at the International Conference on Implementation of the CAF in Local Authority, in March 2008, in Voulas, Athens, and at the International European Regions Meeting, in Thessalonica, Macedonia, in June 2010.
Through EIPA, the Government of the Baleares Islands showed its interest in promoting benchmarking actions, namely regarding the tool application to schools.
